Sunday, April 14, 2024 after morning church, Fellowship Dinner, no evening service

Former Pastor, Rev. Michael Hamilton Speaking at the April 14, 2024 service.

We are celebrating historical moments in the long journey of North Tiverton Baptist Church. Of particular interest is the installation of Rev. Michael Hamilton as the pastor in 1997. At that time in history, the church was at a very low point. Pastor Hamilton had been ordained at Calvary Baptist Church in Middletown, RI. Bob F. Williams was the pastor at Calvary Baptist Church then. Pastor Hamilton was invited to come and preach at the North Tiverton Baptist Church on a trial basis. He and his wife, Maureen, then spent twenty-five years laboring for the Lord at NTBC. They solidified the foundation of the church and increased its membership. They also led the church to relocate and to pay off the new building. When they retired in 2022, the church was suffering from COVID and their health issues required attention. However, they left the church financially sound and proposed a plan for the future. They will be our special guests on April 14, in the 10 am service. We are inviting all of the friends that the Hamiltons have made over the years to come and thank the Lord for their ministry and wish them well in their new endeavors.  We will be having a Fellowship Dinner immediately following the morning service to accommodate an opportunity for friends as well as church members to visit with the Hamiltons.
